My recent paintings of Timeless Landscapes and Natural Landscapes (Mountains and Seascapes) aim to capture the essence of some of Scotland's most iconic places. I have selected landscape subjects that hold a special meaning for me. People have been kind enough to say they convey a connection for them too. 

These special places often embody layers of history and significance that resonate down the centuries. They can also represent sublime natural landscapes. Some Natural Landscapes have a haunting beauty derived from their stories, past and present: Abandoned Croft and Evening light in Glencoe are two recent examples. Their special quality derives from their aesthetic appeal combined with their cultural, environmental and/or spiritual associations.
