This was an Iron Age Crannog, a type dwelling principally found in Scotland. It was faithfully reconstructed in situ on Loch Tay, where archaeologists have recorded a number of Crannogs.
Sadly this one was accidently burned down and is no more although a new one is planned on Loch Tay as part of The Scottish Crannog Centre.
