Craigievar Castle has been described as a 'Frenchified' Castle. It has a strong vertical emphasis with round turrets, similar to what can be seen on the chateaux in the Loire valley in France. It is supposed to be the castle that inspired Walt Disney's Cinderella castle. Craigievar Castle was the home of the Forbes family and is managed by the National Trust for Scotland.
