It is the view of the distant peaks of the Isle of Rhum viewed through the arch of a sea cave on the neighbouring Isle of Eigg.
The sublime view belies the brutal history of the island in the days of the Clans. It is said that 400 islanders, of the Macdonald clan were killed in another cave on the island by the rivals the Macleods.
The mouth of the cave and the cave itself have been sculted by the gradual wearing of the rock by wave action.
